What is this for?
The purpose of this service is to provide in advance notifications about the planned power outages in houses, buildings and factories located in Belgrade, Serbia.
Shouldn’t I receive notifications like this from the power company (EPS)?
Yes, you should have received the notification about power outage from the company providing the electricity to you, but unfortunately the Serbian national power company (EPS) does not offer that kind of service to its users.
Why did you create Iskljucenja.rs?
It has occured many times to us that our company offices has been left without the electricity for several hours, even days - due to the planned works on the electric grid by the power company, not due to the extraordinary failures on the grid.
That made us build this service so we could find out about the planned power outages in advance and plan our activities accordingly. Once we had it working we decided to allow other citizens to get this useful information as well.
Where are the information about power outage coming from?
EPS (the national power company) publishes the plan for the power outages for several days in advance.
Who can become a user?
Individuals and companies can sign up. All you need is an e-mail address.
How many addresses can I add?
You can add up to two addresses.
When can I expect to receive notifications?
Notifications can be expected in the morning hours.
How often will I be receiving notifications?
Notifications are sent once a day, in case there is planned power outage on your address.
Are you planning to provide this service for other towns as well?
Not at the moment.
A power outage occurred, but I didn’t get any notification?
There are several reasons that may caused you not receiving a notification, the most probable are:
- a power outage was not planned, but an extraordinary one due to malfunction on the grid
- the address you’ve added is not correctly entered, mind the number, letter and sub-number in the address, they have to be entered in dedicated fields
- your address was not on the list of planned outages
Can I get notifications via SMS, letter, pigeon?
No, at the moment we support only e-mail notifications.
Is this service free of charge?
Yes. This is free of charge service.
Do you plan to support other types of outages (water supply, heating…)?
Not at the moment.
I entered the address, but the map is showing some other location?
We are using Google Maps service to display the map. It could be that the address you’ve entered still does not exist in the Google Maps so it simply doesn’t know where is it on the map. But still, if the address exists for real and it appears in the planned power outages list published by the power company (EPS) you will receive the notifications.
